Organization History
Birthline was formed in 1972 by people who deeply cared about the well being of babies, born and unborn and their young mothers. Its first office was in Blair Annex next to the the former Mercy Hospital. It was later at the Osteopathic Hospital with a closet size space. With the dedicated support of the community, churches, and volunteers, Birthline continues to grow. Each time more space is needed, the Lord provides a new location, space, and equipment. Birthline moved to its current location with 2500 sq. ft. on High street in December of 2007. This was done in an act of faith, and once again the Lord has provided. In order to increase group meeting rooms, offices and storage, yet another 1069 square feet has been added.
Individuals are now learning valuable pre-natal information, parenting skills, life choices, and family values in private classrooms as well as in group classes. They can purchase needed goods from the well stocked Blessing Store with the Baby Dollars they have earned by taking lessons of their choosing.
